About The Position

This role involves auditing production and packaging processes to ensure compliance with customer specifications and recommending adjustments to improve compliance. The QC Line Inspector is responsible for ensuring product quality meets customer standards, which includes monitoring product weights, checking color, odor, and texture, verifying seal integrity and performing burst testing, and conducting product code, fill temperature, and quality checks. A key responsibility is performing complete tear downs for each seamer head on the running seamer. The inspector must notify their supervisor of any out-of-specification measurements after rechecking and confirming, and accurately fill out all required documentation. Information is recorded on Quality log sheets and input into the Quality control computer at the QC station for review. The position also requires active participation as a team member, contributing to team concepts, programs, and policies, and coordinating work to ensure best practices. This includes attending team meetings, fostering cohesiveness, and taking responsibility for identifying and resolving issues collaboratively. Familiarity with Simmons' operating systems (quality, security, office environment, company policies) is expected, along with understanding the role's impact on these systems and communicating concerns or improvement ideas. The role may also involve performing other duties as necessary to support business objectives.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Experienced within a manufacturing/process environment with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
Background in manufacturing.

Responsibilities
