About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and results driven QC Lab Technician to join our Building and Finishing Haines City Team. This role involves conducting tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet Sika's quality control specifications. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining safety and environmental compliance, managing lab data and inventory, and collaborating with the production team. Continuous learning of plant processes and supporting special projects are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

• Associate degree or HS diploma with 1-3 years’ experience in overall QC testing and methodology in manufacturing environment.
• Good math and computer skills required, competent with Microsoft Word and Excel software.
• Ability to problem solve required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with little supervision
• Able to lift 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with SAP is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with Sika QC specifications; report results in a timely manner to all levels of plant management
• Maintain comprehensive safety and environmental compliance by adhering to all Sika Safety, EHS, and ESHQ policies; wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment; report unsafe acts or conditions immediately and actively work to improve lab safety
• Manage QC data entry, record filing, lab equipment calibration, and inventory of lab supplies and chemicals; collect and verify Certificates of Analysis for incoming raw materials
• Maintain formula integrity and create lab batches as required by Research and Development and plant management
• Collaborate as an active QC representative within the Production team and support supervisor with sample shipments and logistics
• Pursue continuous learning of plant processes and controls as they pertain to overall quality; support special projects aligned with corporate safety and efficiency initiatives
