About The Position

This position reports to the QC supervisor and is responsible for routine testing of in-process and final samples for a specialty polymer producer. Testing includes routine laboratory wet methods analyses, gas chromatography and HPLC analyses. This position also calculates process adjustments and is responsible for final product disposition. This position will serve on various process improvement teams providing technical support where needed. Good housekeeping duties that result in a safe laboratory environment are essential. In your future role as QC Lab Technician, you will Perform routine and final product testing according to SOP’s. Prepare, standardize, and maintain laboratory reagents and test solutions. Operate, calibrate, maintain laboratory instruments (HPLC and GC included), and perform troubleshooting when necessary. Communicate test results and deviations to production operators and supervisors promptly. Direct in-process adjustments and final product disposition. Meticulously maintain paper and digital records of quality control testing. Organize and manage sample retains. Serve as process improvement team member, providing technical assistance where needed. Adhere to all safety protocols, ISO 9001 standards, and maintain a clean and organized laboratory.

Requirements

  • A.S. Chemistry minimum 3 plus years lab experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer Skills including Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Introduction to Statistical Process Control techniques
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • System SAP, Microsoft Office
  • Experience in handling SPC, HPLC and GC instruments
