About The Position

Tindall Corporation is a leading precast concrete manufacturer. The QC Inspector Level II conducts pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure concrete members meet tolerances specified by shop cards and PCI. The role performs concrete testing, witnesses stressing, and establishes adequate curing controls. Employees must follow all safety and quality rules and processes to maintain a safe working environment and produce high-quality products. The position requires a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Inspect bed set-up against shop drawings, checking the size and placement of reinforcement, strands, plates, and structural connections.
Record nonconforming items and notify appropriate personnel so the product can be brought into conformance.
Perform concrete testing, including slump, unit weight, air content, release cylinders, and 28-day cylinders.
Set up steam clocks to ensure proper curing temperature.
Monitor finishing procedures in the finishing shed.
Inspect final products and document nonconformances; notify the Engineering Department for approval or a repair work order.
Apply green tags to conforming products and red tags to nonconforming products requiring engineering approval.
Reinspect red-tagged members after repair to ensure they meet Engineering’s requirements.
Prepare and submit in writing all nonconformances requiring engineering approval.
Follow all safety and quality rules and processes.
