Together, we will create a better world through sport. Join us. We are currently seeking a QC Auditor/Inspector our Ada facility. This primary responsibility of this position will be to inspect footballs to ensure they are in accordance to the quality standards that have been set by various leagues, or internally by the Quality Team.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED will be required for this position.
  • Demonstrated passion for sport and sporting equipment.
  • A strong team player with positive and professional attitude and a strong bias for action to solve.
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful and comfortable operating without a high level of structure.
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment that embraces change and value creation.
  • Excellent computer literacy, MS Office, Outlook E-mail, Microsoft Teams, Powerpoint, Word processing skills (MS Word) and Spreadsheet skills (MS Excel)
  • Good Problem Solving and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people with the personal drive/sense of urgency needed when the time frames are demanded.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of databases (MS Access) & Filemaker is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Re-work ball defects to improve overall appearance as needed
  • Grade out any leather defects during leather inspection and input defect calculations into Excel and Filemaker
  • Use Filemaker & NCP system for review and management of defective product
  • Utilize Filemaker to input internal product scrap
  • Learn and understand Byte System for tote label traceability and defect tracking/accountability
  • Learn and understand Wilson Sku’s for different ball types and variations
  • Audit areas including but not limited to Cutting, Stamping, Splitting, Sew Linings, Reinforce, Sew Stripe, Roll Pound/Die Out, Puritan, Lacing, Bladder Room.
  • Inspect NFL Gameballs in accordance to specs listed.
  • Scan tags, weigh and measure footballs.
  • Color match football panels for production or Graphics Department
  • Inspect Special order footballs and keep a tracking system to ensure orders get completed in timely manner
  • Be able to use small hand tools (tape measures, nippers, pliers, scissors, go-no go gauge, Mylars, Steel rulers, Air pressure gauges, erasers, glue balls, brush, buffing wheels, hand Irons) on a daily basis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
