Summary: Perform inspection and testing in the Bryan Steam Plant at various stages of production process to ensure conformance to applicable code and Bryan Steam Quality Control Manual requirements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated capability to interpret and utilize applicable requirements of ASME Code.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Mircosoft Office software.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of experience with the manufacturing of Bryan Steam Boilers and/or Tanks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding inspections on boiler and tanks in various stages of fabrication to ensure code compliance as well as good manufacturing processes.
  • Perform or verify all ASME Non-destructive testing required by the Code.
  • Perform dimensional checks of items manufactured or purchased by Byran Steam.
  • Perform electrical inspections and testing of boilers by powering low voltage (110 Volt) systems testing all safety circuits.
  • Calibrate pressure test gauges and maintain records per the Bryan Steam QC Manual.
  • Calibrate service and document calibration of standard measuring equipment per Bryan Steam QC Manual.
  • Document non-conformances and assist in establishing root cause and long-term corrective actions for the non-conformance.
  • Document returned materials and ensure that RMA items are accurately dispositioned.
  • Collect and properly file documents per the Bryan Steam QC Manual to maintain required traceability and retrieval.
  • Establish and execute receiving, in-process and final inspection process.
  • Verify and document parts orders quantities and products before packaging and shipment.
  • Perform other quality-related activities as assigned by the QC Manager.
  • Back up Quality Control Manager
