Requirements

• Knowledgeable in dimensional inspection and verifying material grade, heat, and customer markings and other identification.
• Ability to perform required testing to ensure proper finish results and specification requirements
• Working knowledge and understanding of API and Premium thread inspection
• Ability to properly document and use API “hard gages”
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of Premium Thread inspection of tubular goods and threading experience (Tenaris, VAM, etc.)
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• The position routinely requires lifting of moderately heavy items, such as gauges and test equipment (up to 40 pounds) and very long periods of walking and standing on a routine basis
• Hand eye coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and other forms of mechanical or manufacturing drawings
• Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensions & Tolerances
• Understand technical specifications, procedures, and terminology
• Knowledgeable of and ability to use basic inspection tools and equipment to properly record basic and element specific gages, equipment, and various thread elements.
• Set up gages to inspect API and Premium Thread connections
