The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for inspecting products at different production phases to ensure company and customer quality standards are being met. This role involves pre-operational and operational inspection of equipment, facility, product, and personnel. The technician will participate in swabbing events and environmental sample collection, and facilitate communication between departments to ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA FSIS, and Company Policy. A key part of the role is interfacing with USDA FSIS personnel, facilitating communication of inspection requests, and implementing corrective actions. The position requires daily execution, documentation, verification, and communication of Critical Control Point testing, as well as identifying and facilitating corrective actions for deviations. The QA Technician will release product from QA HOLD upon meeting Critical Limits, monitor HACCP plan and GMPs daily, and facilitate and verify documentation and corrective actions for deviations. Additionally, the role involves providing training resources, performing in-process quality checks, verifying other QA personnel's checks, and communicating non-conformities. The technician will test product characteristics for safety and quality, monitor and communicate product characteristics for product development, and facilitate sample collection for environmental pathogen and allergen monitoring programs, as well as customer-requested lab testing. This includes creating site listings for facilities and equipment within the Environmental Pathogen and Allergen Monitoring Program and communicating results. The position requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), company pre-requisite programs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), as well as conducting pre-shipment reviews and following all safety rules and regulations.
