How you will make history here… Senior Technician - QA will conduct the day-to-day quality assurance requirements in the plant. Position is responsible for all regulatory compliance management and execution of the plant's overall food safety and quality management programs such as but not limited to HACCP/ FSP plans, prerequisite and sanitation programs, policies and procedures, work instruction, record keeping and reviewing, finished product traceability and mock recalls. Position will be managing planning of plant and Kitchen 1869 work execution thru planning tool. Individual will be responsible for product and environmental microbiological testing program, investigates nonconforming product incidents (CAPA) and Hold and Release program. Support annual review of HACCP/FSP plans and the preparation activities of third party/ regulatory audits. Oversee in process quality requirement of of R&D Operations and Kitchen 1869. Manage Alchemy for the quality and safety training programs for R&D Operations. Provide support on an as needed basis to the Plant safety process, which includes execution of audits, corrective actions, and document management.

Requirements

  • Minimum education required: High School Diploma
  • 1 year experience manufacturing, with some experience in quality

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills validated planning and organizing skills, leadership, partnership, and influencing or teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of Canning and Thermal processing
  • Background in food processing and Quality Assurance
  • Driving quality initiatives in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Problem solving/analytical thinking
  • Proficient with computer systems, Sharepoint site usage and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily distribution, collection and review of control documentation of product manufacturing and release, ensure all quality standards are strictly enforced throughout the entire manufacturing cycle and product specification are met. Collaborate with production team and monitor all processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Support preparation of Third Party and regulatory audits of Quality and Safety, by ensuring implementing, maintaining, recording, training, auditing, and validating all food safety and food quality policies, standards, and procedures
  • Planning and Execution thru eMaint Application as Site Administrator
  • Management of EMP and Alchemy Program
  • Over see in-process quality of plant and Kitchen 1869. Ensures daily routine sample analyses using corporate lab techniques/ methods and instrumentation are in good condition, supply stock control and Good Laboratory Practices are followed.
  • Manage assigned safety section and support Plant's Safety matrices and initiatives
  • GAP Assessments, management of QA root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions
