QA Technician - First Shift

About The Position

This role is an individual contributor responsible for reviewing and completing QA/HACCP paperwork across all production departments. The QA Technician will perform routine quality checks and audits on production, the dock, and the facility. They will also develop and maintain databases as needed and are qualified to perform QA sampling and testing methods. A strong understanding of food production processes and methods is required, along with the ability to practice appropriate safety procedures through education, training, and adherence to policies and regulations. The role involves interaction with management, QA, production teams, government officials, and third-party contractors. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Qualified to perform QA sampling and testing methods.
  • Understand of the processes and methods involved in food production.
  • Ability to interact with and communicate with various team members in management, QA, and production as well as government officials, and 3rd party contractors.
  • Responsibility to understand and place in practice appropriate safety procedures.
  • Physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for the duration of work hours.

Responsibilities

  • Review QA/HACCP paperwork used in all production departments and fill out correctly.
  • Perform all QA Tech responsibilities for routine quality checks, and audits on production, the dock, and the facility.
  • Develop and maintain databases as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
