The QA Technician's purpose is to assure food safety through HACCP compliance monitoring, implementing corrective actions and reporting of deviations to the QA Manager. This role involves documenting test results, communicating deviations, reviewing data for product testing trends, conducting product and process capability studies, and performing various QA tasks such as sampling, line monitoring, auditing, and lab testing. The technician will also coordinate lab operations, raw material and finished product data, audit laboratory testing for SOP compliance, and review/approve deviations and corrective actions related to analytical laboratories. Additionally, they will review microbiological testing and sanitation reports, place ingredients and finished goods on hold as directed, investigate root causes of defects, and maintain a quality culture through training and a clean work area. The role requires maintaining lab supplies, coordinating hold and disposition of materials, utilizing specific software (PLM, QDMS, SAP, Minitab), submitting compliance reports, and understanding Acidified Foods and federal guidelines.
