About The Position

The QA Technician performs in-process visual and dimensional inspections and product testing to verify compliance with product specifications and customer requirements. The role interprets specification sheets, communicates specification variations or tolerance issues to Product Design, and approves or rejects products based on specifications, work instructions, product deviations, food safety, and customer requirements. The technician also verifies production-line readiness, maintains accurate testing records, monitors inspection equipment and raw materials, initiates corrective actions for non-conformances, and coordinates with production personnel on needed adjustments.

Responsibilities

Perform in-process visual and dimensional inspections.
Conduct product testing to meet product specifications and customer requirements.
Verify and interpret specification sheets; communicate specification variations or inability to achieve required SKU tolerances to Product Design.
Approve or reject products based on compliance with product specifications, work instructions, product deviations, food safety, and customer requirements.
Adhere to and enforce standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and work instructions.
Perform pre-operational inspections and line-clearance verification.
Ensure test results are recorded, current, and accurate.
Monitor testing and inspection equipment to ensure it is maintained in working order, and report damage to the Plant Manager and/or Quality Assurance Supervisor.
Initiate corrective actions when non-conformances are found.
Monitor raw materials for consistency and integrity.
Enter testing and dimensional records into the SQC database to produce work-order reports.
Communicate with the Production Supervisor and Machine Operators when adjustments are needed to improve form, fit, or function.
Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Manager/Supervisor or higher authority.
