QA Manager - Remote

The QA Manager at Accruent is responsible for managing the QA delivery of one or more products, ensuring high-quality applications. This role involves HR leadership, monitoring release quality, driving team performance, and collaborating with stakeholders. • Provide leadership for a team of Quality Engineers, including setting goals, conducting reviews, coaching, mentoring, and career development.
• Collaborate with the Quality Director to establish and enforce standard QA processes, tools, metrics, and governance criteria for assigned products.
• Lead the teams towards zero production defects using continuous improvement techniques.
• Manage and measure QA success through a set of pre-defined KPIs.
• Proactively manage deviations from KPIs and develop action plans to address them.
• Work with internal stakeholders to define and implement improvements in the Quality Assurance program.
• Engage with other leaders within Accruent to refine Quality-related requirements for Agile software delivery.
• Assist in the development of automation and performance testing programs.
• Build solid test data and test environments and integrate with DevOps tools and processes.
• Ensure compliance with acceptance criteria for code release to client-facing environments.
• Participate in ITIL processes to identify ways to improve quality.
• Estimate quality assurance activities and develop business cases for long-term priorities.
• Understand risk-based testing and risk mitigation planning.
• Use metrics and data to assess testing needs.
• Have a clear understanding of software development practices and life cycles.
• Have exposure to automated software testing and performance testing processes and best practices.
• Be self-reliant, motivated, and accountable.
• Be project and task-oriented with attention to detail.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, STEM-related or Business-Related degree
• 8+ years of experience in the software development industry
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance roles or responsibilities
• Experience estimating quality assurance activities
• Experience developing business cases to fund long-term priorities
• Understanding of risk-based testing and risk mitigation planning
• Ability to use metrics and data to holistically assess the testing needs of a product
• Clear understanding of software development practices and life cycles
• Exposure to automated software testing processes and best practices
• Exposure to standard performance testing processes and best practices
