About The Position

Trissential is hiring a QA Lead to join their client’s team, playing a critical role in a large-scale initiative focused on modernizing core operational platforms across multiple entities. This position is not a hands-on performance engineering role; instead, it focuses on leading performance test planning, execution coordination, and ensuring results visibility to guarantee enterprise systems are ready to perform when needed. The ideal candidate is a seasoned QA Lead who excels at coordination, clarity, and delivering confidence in complex systems, bringing structure to complexity and aligning diverse teams toward a common goal. This high-impact leadership role involves owning the quality and readiness of performance testing across a multi-system, enterprise transformation. The QA Lead will partner directly with program leadership, operations, and engineering teams on complex, meaningful work supporting mission-critical platforms where reliability, scalability, and performance are paramount. The role offers balanced flexibility with a hybrid work model and provides professional credibility through leading large, integrated performance testing events and executive-level readouts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with at least 4 years in a QA Lead or Test Management role
  • Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, including planning, execution strategies, KPIs, and entry/exit criteria
  • Experience supporting large-scale, highly integrated platforms with real-time or operational characteristics
  • Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar)
  • Proven ability to coordinate testing across multiple systems, integrations, and delivery teams
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with confidence facilitating meetings and reporting status
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in utilities, energy delivery, or operational technology environments
  • Exposure to SCADA or SCADA-like systems
  • Prior leadership of large performance testing events, dry runs, and executive results read-outs
  • Experience working in regulated or mission-critical environments
  • Background supporting hybrid or agile delivery models on enterprise programs
  • ISTQB or equivalent QA/testing certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the creation and completion of a comprehensive performance test plan, covering scope, environments, tooling, data, resourcing, schedules, and execution models
  • Develop and maintain an integrated test preparation and readiness schedule across multiple systems, teams, and dependencies
  • Create, organize, and manage performance test cases, execution groups, and workbooks within test management tools
  • Coordinate cross-team working sessions supporting integration, automation, and performance testing across applications, mobile clients, and backend interfaces
  • Plan and support performance test dry runs, validating entry criteria and readiness before execution
  • Provide execution-time coordination and support across test cycles and extended testing events
  • Manage on-site logistics for performance testing activities, including access, workspace coordination, and operational needs
  • Facilitate defect triage sessions, tracking issues through prioritization, assignment, and remediation
  • Consolidate and analyze performance results (UI response times, system utilization, interface throughput)
  • Prepare and deliver clear performance test read-outs to technical and program leadership
  • Serve as a central coordination point ensuring testing outcomes align with program milestones and operational readiness goals
