About The Position

The QA Laboratory Technician is responsible for auditing, documenting, and enforcing USDA and facility regulations. This role involves performing checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality programs are followed, monitoring SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and performing HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations. The technician must work with FSIS/USDA and present records as requested. They will also aid QA and/or FS Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations and work closely with production associates to monitor meat product AQL standards and specifications, correcting deficiencies and notifying management of any violations. Additionally, the role includes maintaining lab equipment through proper cleaning and regular maintenance, data entry, and performing other assigned duties.

• Must demonstrate and be able to pass all required safety courses provided by JBS.
• Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of completing all work assignments with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to motivate, train, and teach employees their job to JBS standards.

Responsibilities
