Responsible for food safety, food quality and site safety. This role involves working the last 24 hours of plant operation, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. The QA Inspector will address immediate issues, prioritizing the containment of suspect product. Responsibilities include reviewing the schedule, touring the floor to ensure machines are following the schedule and proper labeling is being performed, and checking for line clearance issues. The inspector will also review held ware and bring to production what can be sorted or ground, attend scheduling meetings, and communicate all daily issues with the quality manager. Collaboration with supervisors is key to assist them with quality issues and/or quality technician issues. The role also ensures all startups meet target specifications or are within spec after all efforts to reach target have been exhausted. Reporting in SQL mold maintenance program all issues with tooling that is causing quality issues or hindering the goal of reaching target specs is also required. Before leaving, a review with the supervisor and lab techs of all pending issues and communication documentation is necessary.
