About The Position

The QA Inspector Technician – Hot Side works in the Quality Control department in Ottumwa, Iowa. The role performs quality control inspections and audits to ensure products meet company specifications, and helps ensure company safety and food safety requirements are followed. The technician works with management to achieve production objectives. This is a second-shift position; start and end times may vary as needed or required, and Saturday work is required when scheduled.

The position is performed in production and maintenance settings, with exposure to chemicals, machinery, knives, slippery floors, hot temperatures, and loud ambient noise. External candidates are not eligible for sponsorship. Applications without a resume will be disqualified.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
• Attention to detail and good math skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Physical capability to perform line work.
• Good attendance record; internal candidates must have fewer than 3 points.
• Dependability, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
• Leadership skills and the ability to work well with others.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual ability is preferred but not required.
