About The Position

This role maintains the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of flooring across Switch facilities. You are responsible for routine floor care using established methods and equipment, working independently within defined schedules and standards. The role supports day-to-day facility operations by ensuring floors meet cleanliness and presentation expectations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience in floor care, facilities maintenance, or a related operational role.
Hands-on experience with commercial floor maintenance equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

Relevant floor care or facilities maintenance certifications.
Experience working in regulated or mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of data center and facility flooring according to established standards.
Perform routine care across multiple flooring types, including carpet, VCT, rubberized flooring, Ger floor, tile, and grout.
Operate floor care equipment safely and correctly, including scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and vacuums.
Inspect equipment before use and report issues or needed maintenance.
Track floor care supplies and notify leadership when restocking is needed.
Follow assigned schedules and work plans set by the Floor Maintenance Supervisor.
Complete interior and exterior floor-related work while following safety procedures.
