QA Engineer
About The Position
The QA Engineer is responsible for quality inspection and quality management for energy storage container products, including incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections. The role develops and refines inspection standards, procedures, and record templates; analyzes production quality deviations and drives corrective and preventive actions; and leads improvement projects using structured quality-analysis tools. The QA Engineer also handles customer complaints and corrective action reporting, maintains ISO 9001 quality management system operations, supports audits, and analyzes quality data to prepare reports and advance continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing quality management experience.
- Familiarity with the ISO 9001 quality management system.
- Proficiency in quality tools including 8D, SPC, FMEA, and MSA.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Familiarity with sheet metal processing, welding, and assembly processes.
- Rigorous and principled approach, with strong cross-departmental communication and coordination skills.
Nice To Haves
- Background in the energy storage container or sheet metal/welding industry.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949.
- Good English reading and writing skills, preferred for customer audits and English reporting.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming quality inspection (IQC), in-process quality inspection (IPQC), and outgoing quality inspection (OQC) for energy storage container products.
- Develop and refine ESS container inspection standards, procedures, and record templates.
- Analyze production quality deviations and drive responsible departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead quality improvement projects using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram, and other analytical tools.
- Handle customer complaints, conduct internal investigations, and issue Corrective Action Reports (CAR) to customers.
- Maintain ISO 9001 quality management system operations and support internal and external audits.
- Collect and analyze quality data using SPC, produce periodic quality reports, and drive continuous improvement.
