About The Position

Scrive is seeking a QA Engineer for a one-year fixed-term contract to support its transition to an automation-first testing approach and maintain the quality of its SaaS web applications. The role focuses on helping deliver secure, stable, and user-friendly solutions by uncovering bugs and reducing avoidable customer incidents. It is remote within the EU and reports to the Head of QA, who is based remotely in Sweden. The team holds daily developer syncs, weekly QA knowledge-sharing sessions, and annual in-person team meetups somewhere in Europe. The QA Engineer will develop and maintain automated tests using JavaScript or TypeScript and Playwright, while also performing manual regression and exploratory testing where automation is not sufficient. The role works closely with developers, product managers, and QA peers to explore features, clarify requirements, and improve quality with each release. It also involves investigating and documenting issues using logs, browser developer tools, and test outputs, and contributing to shared knowledge bases. Scrive offers an individual learning budget, opportunities to attend annual conferences and meetups, flexible public holidays, a weekly wellness hour, access to market-leading AI tools, and modern technology equipment. The recruitment process will assess skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Playwright, Git, CI/CD integrations, debugging, and analytical problem-solving.
