QA Engineer Automated
About The Position
This QA automation engineer position is a contractor role within the (PCS) Contract Operations team, focusing on quality assurance for an application that is part of an initiative to enhance and update the System Contract Operating and Reporting application. The goal of this initiative is to create a more robust and comprehensive system for agency contract management, monitoring, and compliance activities. This role is part of the Administrative Applications Software Quality Assurance team and involves developing and maintaining automated test cases using technologies like Playwright, as well as developing and maintaining test scripts for both manual and automated testing. The position also includes performing manual testing, tracking test case execution, establishing automated test case schedules and reporting, using Jira for defect tracking, and developing requirements traceability matrices. Experience in an Agile environment is required. The role requires supporting the development team in various stages (dev, test, UAT, production), troubleshooting test cases, leading UAT testing activities, and being available for on-call support as needed.

- Manual Test Script Execution Experience (8 years Required)
- Automated QA Testing Experience (8 years Required)
- QA Test Script Creation Experience (8 years Required)
- Performance Testing Experience (8 years Required)
- Experience working in an Agile environment
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Design automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.
- Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios.
- Design documentation for automated processes.
- Develop and maintain automated test cases using Playwright or similar technology.
- Develop and maintain test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
- Perform manual testing as required.
- Track test case execution.
- Establish regular automated schedules for test cases and required reporting.
- Use Jira to log and track defects.
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
- Support the development team as needed in dev, test, UAT, and production.
- Troubleshoot test cases as required.
- Lead UAT testing activities as needed.
- Be available for on-call support as needed.
