About The Position

WEG Transformers USA (WTU) is seeking a Quality Electrical Test Technician to join their growing team. This role involves testing and troubleshooting electrical control cabinets, inspecting control wiring, and programming transformer monitors. The technician will also assist in troubleshooting and repairing testing equipment. The position requires the ability to read and interpret complex control wiring diagrams and component monitoring manuals, troubleshoot related problems, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to improve the quality testing process. The technician will also be responsible for entering nonconformances when needed and working effectively with all levels of employees, management, and customers.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and skill to perform operations in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and statistics
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values.
  • Able to work over-time as needed, including some weekends
  • Ability to safely use a ladder, work from heights (up to 16')
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Resides or plans to reside within reasonable commuting distance - no relocation assistance available.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in basic English
  • Has current work authorization for employment in the United States
  • Must complete: Job interview, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Safety Sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology preferred
  • Post-Secondary Certificate or Associate's Degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Experience with a variety of test equipment & systems
  • Experience in quality inspection and knowledge of Electrical testing

Responsibilities
