The QA and Testing Analyst independently analyzes business and technical requirements, identifies program and project needs, develops testing strategies and plans, and performs functional and user acceptance testing for core credit union technologies. The role partners with software development, application support, IT operations, business analysis, information security, infrastructure, project teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and end users while maintaining independence and quality controls. The Analyst oversees the technical analysis and testing lifecycle for complex technology initiatives; creates risk-based test plans and test assets; executes manual and automated testing across applications, integrations, APIs, databases, and other solutions; and supports defect resolution, release readiness, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation validation. The role also reports quality metrics, improves QA practices, supports shift-left testing, and follows applicable governance, privacy, security, records-retention, and regulatory requirements. Work is primarily performed in a professional office or remote technology environment using a computer, telephone, collaboration tools, and testing systems for extended periods. Scheduled releases, production validations, incident response, or testing may require work outside normal business hours. Occasional travel to MCU locations, vendor sites, or project meetings may be required. The role requires effective communication, on-screen review of detailed information, and repetitive keyboard and mouse activity, with or without reasonable accommodation.
