About The Position

We are seeking a QA Analyst to join our IT Program Delivery team and help deliver high-quality releases across our digital commerce and retail systems at Browns Shoes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment, ensuring delivery excellence, maintaining high-quality standards, and collaborating closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA team members, and business stakeholders. As a QA Analyst, you will play a key role in safeguarding product quality, optimizing QA processes, coaching and supporting business users on QA, and contributing to the successful delivery of Browns’ digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
4–6 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC methodologies and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
Proven experience in manual, functional, regression, integration, and automation testing.
Experience with test management tools such as Zephyr, Xray, or TestRail.
Proficiency with software development and management tools, such as Jira.
Experience in test automation is a strong asset (Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
Experience with ERP systems in retail environments is a strong asset (WMS, order management, inventory management, POS).
Experience with digital commerce and eCommerce platforms is a strong asset.
Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience supporting UAT and production releases.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
Exposure to automation testing frameworks and automation strategies.
Retail or omnichannel commerce experience.
Experience working with React-based applications.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and business stakeholders to review requirements and define acceptance criteria.
Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and QA estimation activities.
Log, track, prioritize, and validate defects using software and QA tools (ex. Jira and Zephyr).
Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Diagnose defects effectively and provide detailed reproduction steps and impact analysis.
Monitor applications and perform first-level technical troubleshooting.
Collaborate with support and development teams to resolve production issues promptly.
Coordinate and manage major incidents, documenting resolutions and identifying preventive improvements.
Support root cause analysis and post-release validations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA automation practices, helping enhance regression efficiency, test coverage, and overall product quality.
Collaborate with developers and QA team members to identify automation opportunities across web, API, and integration testing.
Support the development, execution, and maintenance of automated test suites to improve release reliability and testing scalability.
Promote a quality-first mindset across teams.
Coach and support team members by sharing testing best practices, guidance, and technical knowledge.
Support the QA team in improving documentation standards, testing approaches, and defect management practices.
Monitor and report QA metrics such as defect leakage, pass/fail rates, and testing coverage.
Ensure Integration of QA processes within the software development lifecycle, focusing on quality from development through deployment.
Participate in cross-functional discussions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with business and development stakeholders.
Provide regular updates on sprint progress, testing status, risks, and blockers.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality expectations and release readiness.
