About The Position
Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is hiring a Python Developer for a 24-month contract opportunity with long-term potential. The role is onsite in Jersey City, New Jersey, or Charlotte, North Carolina, supporting a client in the financial industry. The pay rate is $65 per hour. The developer will use Python, SQL, and microservices expertise to build distributed, scalable services and robust microservices. The role also involves database work, unit testing, and working with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Requirements
- Expertise in functional and object-oriented programming, specifically in Python.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and microservices.
- Experience with databases, including relational, document, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience building distributed and scalable complex services and robust microservices.
- Experience writing unit tests in pytest or unittest.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and problem solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Math.
Nice To Haves
- Strong algorithms and data structures skills.
- Previous experience with Quartz.
