EDA is seeking a Design Engineer – Level 4 responsible for the design, development and test of space hardware products. Expertise in digital printed circuit board design and analyses, verification and test, and project leadership are desired for this position. Demonstrated ability to translate system performance and operational specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications. This position supports our East Region Engineering Division, and Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) Business Unit in Linthicum, MD.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable STEM degree minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience, 6+ years with MS degree; 4+ years with PhD)
  • Proficient in digital circuit design, schematic capture, and PWB/board layout and analysis tools
  • Completed and/or led multiple board designs from schematic capture to board release
  • Experience with testing high speed interfaces/fiber optics and using lab test equipment
  • Ability to work on multi-discipline engineering teams and communicate clearly within integrated product team leads
  • Proficient in Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Hyperlynx or similar tools
  • US Citizenship
  • 100% work on site

  • Top Secret / SCI security clearance
  • Signal integrity analysis (ie SERDES, Bit error rates, jitter components and contributors, board to board analysis)
  • Experience in Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) including logic compatibility, component derating, timing analysis, signal and power integrity analyses
  • Proficient in design and analysis tools: Keysight ADS
