About The Position

The PV Solar Field Technician III supports site operations and maintenance in Roswell, New Mexico, with duties spanning safety, contractor management, electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting and maintenance, overall site operations, asset management, regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management. The posting also describes support for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including maintaining their performance and reliability as part of the Renewable Operations & Integrations team.

The technician supports the Regional Manager or designee in executing power-generation processes. Work includes routine BESS inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, system troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and coordination with construction teams during installation and commissioning. The technician documents inspections and maintenance, helps ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid non-CDL driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Trade school graduate.
• Licensed electrician.
• Licensed master electrician.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of Battery Energy Storage Systems to identify maintenance or performance issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, including cleaning, replacing faulty components, and testing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system failures using technical knowledge and monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with the operations team to implement and execute maintenance plans and procedures.
• Coordinate with construction teams during installation and commissioning of new projects.
• Generate reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment conditions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during work activities.
• Support reliability engineering and warranty management.
• Perform basic operations and maintenance, including electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs.
• Steward safety and environmental programs.
• Provide supervisory duties for company employees and contractors.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, business duties, and inventory management.
• Operate heavy equipment and support regulatory compliance.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in BESS technology and maintenance.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
