About The Position

Nissan is seeking a Purchasing Transformation Intern to join its Purchasing Transformation organization in Franklin, Tennessee, for a 12-week summer 2027 program. The intern will support the development of data-driven solutions that improve business processes, decision-making, and operational efficiency. The role provides hands-on experience across business, technology, analytics, automation, and digital transformation, working with business stakeholders and technology teams on data collection, reporting, automation, visualization, and AI-enabled solutions.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Must be entering Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming academic term.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and data visualization concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in business process improvement, automation, analytics, and digital transformation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• GPA of 3.0 or above; candidates must provide an official or unofficial transcript for verification.
• Ability to perform work onsite in Franklin, Tennessee.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide proof of employment eligibility at hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using SQL with Snowflake, AWS, or other cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience using Python for analytics, automation, or data processing.
• Familiarity with AI tools and platforms such as Copilot, Kiro, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to supply chain, purchasing, or business operations environments.

Responsibilities

• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting to drive business insights and improve decision-making.
• Develop and enhance dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools using Power BI and related technologies.
• Assist with process automation initiatives using Power Platform tools and other digital solutions.
• Support projects involving AI tools such as Copilot, Kiro, and other emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational improvements and digital transformation.
• Assist with project planning, status tracking, stakeholder communications, and implementation activities.
