About The Position
Millwood Hospital (a UHS affiliated hospital) is a 134-bed mental health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Millwood’s caring, and multidisciplinary staff has successfully provided inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Millwood Hospital is located in Arlington, TX in the heart of the city. It is 5 minutes away from AT&T Stadium home of the Dallas Cowboys. The hospital is less than 35 minutes from DFW International Airport. Millwood Hospital is a Joint Commission accredited hospital with a solid reputation in the community and is part of one of the nation’s largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, Universal Health Services, Inc. Position Summary: Purchasing Specialist Responsible for purchasing, receiving, stocking, organizing, inventorying, and distributing medical supplies, equipment, forms, and other materials throughout the hospital. Ensures departments have the supplies and forms they need while maintaining accurate inventory and appropriate storage conditions. Must be available to attend the Full Hospital and Departmental orientations: Week 1: Monday -Friday; 8 AM - 5 PM; Week 2: Monday - Thursday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of materials management, warehouse, inventory or supply chain experience in a hospital setting.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Purchasing, receiving, stocking, organizing, inventorying, and distributing medical supplies, equipment, forms, and other materials throughout the hospital.
- Ensuring departments have the supplies and forms they need while maintaining accurate inventory and appropriate storage conditions.
- Attending Full Hospital and Departmental orientations: Week 1: Monday -Friday; 8 AM - 5 PM; Week 2: Monday - Thursday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
