About The Position
MidwayUSA is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for their Clothing, Footwear & Marketplaces category. This role involves working with a Merchandising Manager to purchase products and build supplier relationships. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for all Purchase Order management throughout its lifecycle, aligning with merchandising and company strategies. They will also negotiate with suppliers to develop opportunities, gather product information, and manage delivery schedules. Additionally, the role includes participating in promotion planning and implementation, assisting with inventory analysis and management, and reviewing supplier performance metrics to drive improvement.
Requirements
- 1-3 years’ experience in a position requiring attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field is required
- You are a user of MidwayUSA's core products

Responsibilities
- Responsible for all Purchase Order management, in alignment with the Merchandising & Company strategies through the life cycle of the purchase order.
- Meet and negotiate with Suppliers to develop opportunities, obtain product or service information and manage delivery schedules
- Participate in Promotions planning and implementation
- Assist the Merchandising Manager with analysis and management of Inventory
- Review Supplier Performance metrics & suggest & implement measures to drive improvement
