Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in procurement field and/or related experience
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with particular attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with user departments and key external stakeholders
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office and enterprise ERP system and e-mail required

Nice To Haves

  • Quarterly and Yearly data collection is preferred
  • Experience using SAP is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Creates request for quotation (RFQ)
  • Communicates with vendors and selects vendors based on price, service and ability to meet production needs
  • Processing Invoices for all orders and ensuring orders are received
  • Processes purchase requisitions from internal departments and ensure proper approvals have been given prior to placing items on order
  • Identifies and communicates issues arising from the supply of materials and services with both the vendor and internal requisitioner
  • Works with team members to identify instances of damaged shipments, including addressing and following up with suppliers and requisitioner
  • Monitors, evaluates, and analyzes vendor performance to ensure quality and delivery requirements are met
  • Manages supplier relationships and update management on any issues with vendors
  • Performs new material cost evaluation for management review
  • Takes on additional tasks when other departmental staff are absent
  • Ensures that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
  • Supports ISO 9001 activities
  • Adheres to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies
