Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Purchasing Specialist I will work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure that all purchases meet the needs of the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
1-2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing software
Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices

Responsibilities

Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
Ensure that all purchases are made in compliance with company policies and procedures
Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment as needed
Maintain accurate records of all purchases and related documentation
Assist with the development and implementation of purchasing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in purchasing
