About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Purchasing Coordinator for their Corporate HQ in Columbia, MO. This role is responsible for analyzing demand indicators, forecasts, lead times, and expected need dates to place purchase orders with approved suppliers and/or OEMs. The Purchasing Coordinator will track all purchase orders, proactively communicate expected arrival dates and other key information to internal and external customers, and ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant shipment of orders.   • Comfortable with all varieties of technology such as ERP/MRP systems, EDI, forecasting tools, customer portals, etc.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of work experience.
  • Past experience in formalized purchasing, forecasting and demand/supply planning.
  • Ability to sit for potentially long periods of time while concentrating.
  • Visual and hearing acuity.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in Fulfillment Operations or any other Supply Chain disciplines is a plus.
  • ERP experience a plus, specifically with Microsoft and Google suite of systems.

Responsibilities

  • Gain appropriate approvals for purchases prior to placement from the approving manager and get proper confirmations from suppliers once orders are placed, such as Quantity ordered, specific sku confirmation, requested delivery or arrival dates and pricing.
  • Be part of the cross-functional team to review and analyze demand generation tools such as forecast, historical sales, equipment movements, etc., considering seasonality, industry trends, and economic drivers.
  • Identify areas of improvements and recommend action plans and potential benefits of recommended change.
  • Follow all SOP and work instruction guidelines.
  • Attend daily/weekly group meetings to understand internal communications, daily expectations and goals, review KPI's, and safety topics.
  • Address order tracking inquiries and issues in a timely manner while keeping your supervisor informed.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to develop a best-in-class supply chain operation.
  • Comply with company SOP’s regarding supply/demand/ and purchasing practices to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant shipment of internal and external orders.
  • Ensure department activities are compliant with all Company processes and requirements, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
