About The Position

The Purchasing Coordinator ensures compliance with purchasing procedures while administering key procurement platforms across the agency. This role partners closely with internal teams and external vendors to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and deliver exceptional service. This position reports to the Director of Accounts Payable & Purchasing. Can be remote or Hybrid (3 in office, 2 remote). This will depend where applicant is from. Initial Training should be in office.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of purchasing processes and business practices
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, purchasing, or customer service
  • Proven ability to research, evaluate, and follow through with a strong service orientation

Responsibilities

  • Administer Amazon Business Prime purchasing platform, including user setup, approval workflows, and invoice reconciliation
  • Co-manage the company bank credit card system, including user support, approvals, and monthly reconciliation
  • Collaborate with GPO partners and KVC leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve vendor processes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistency and reliability
  • Assist in developing and refining procurement policies and procedures
  • Provide ongoing support and complete additional duties as assigned by leadership
