About The Position

We are hiring an Entry-Level Production Control Purchasing Coordinator to support purchasing, inventory, and production operations in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ordering and tracking materials, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and helping ensure production has the materials needed to stay on schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, materials, production control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing who is looking to grow their career.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, materials, production control, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for assigned parts, components, raw materials, and production supplies.
• Monitor purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time.
• Maintain inventory levels within established company guidelines.
• Monitor inventory and identify potential shortages or excess materials.
• Support production schedules by ensuring materials are available when needed.
• Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities to reduce premium shipping expenses.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and help identify root causes.
• Assist with corrective actions related to inventory and material issues.
• Support new product and manufacturing program launches.
• Monitor product and program phase-outs to help minimize obsolete inventory.
• Research potential uses for obsolete parts and materials.
• Complete purchasing, inventory, and production control documentation.
