About The Position

Eagle Technologies, LLC (Newport News, VA) is seeking a qualified Purchasing Assistant. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Experience working with Microsoft office products
Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred.
Able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

Familiar with Sage 50 or similar accounting software preferred
Associate's degree in a related field with background in procurement preferred not required

Responsibilities

Efficiently manage and execute the purchase of raw materials, off-the-shelf components, and services as per negotiated and appropriately approved.
Reviewing forecasting reports to ensure inventory levels are maintained appropriately.
Prepare purchase requisitions, obtain appropriate approval, and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions.
Issuing, updating, and tracking purchase orders (Pos) and change orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
Handle accounting functions associated with vendor accounts, such as reconciling aging and researching vendor accounts.
Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with internal teams and external vendors to determine cause of problems and take corrective and preventative action.
Ensure supplier compliance with company requirements for quality, safety, and delivery.
Expediting product as needed, coordinating with suppliers and customers.
