About The Position

The Purchasing Assistant - HVAC is responsible for supporting the purchasing department in procuring HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies. This role involves tasks such as data entry, vendor management, and order processing to ensure efficient operations and cost-effective purchasing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Excel, purchasing and inventory systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a team player

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in purchasing or supply chain management preferred.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process purchase orders and requisitions for HVAC parts, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery dates.
  • Research and identify potential suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices and delivery terms with suppliers.
  • Resolve purchase order discrepancies and issues.
  • Responsible for inventory management and stock levels.
  • Provide administrative support to the purchasing department.
  • Maintain knowledge of HVAC industry and product trends.
