Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Fluent in English (Good Communication Skills)
• Basic Math Skills (measuring, use of calculator)
• Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to handle several tasks at the same time under time constraints

Nice To Haves

• Review material requirement reports and bar stock requirement reports to identify purchasing needs, as determined by the Purchasing Manager.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for items with suppliers. Both MRO and inventory related
• Obtaining approval of purchase requisitions, if requisitions are submitted without the proper approvals
• Attend weekly production meetings to report on the status of open purchase orders
• Manage purchase orders with Suppliers
• Manage and resolve any supplier defective material issues
• Monitor workflow of purchasing area
• Must be able to handle several tasks at the same time under time constraints
• Other duties as assigned
