About The Position

Troubadour Golf & Field Club, located near Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a Purchasing and Logistic Associate to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. This role is responsible for the daily operations of the commissary facility, including organization, fulfilling requisitions, assisting with inventory, managing goods, checking par levels, supporting orders and deliveries, collecting vendor invoices, data input, and confirming deliveries. The associate will contribute to the unique Discovery Land Company experience for members and employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Warehousing, Purchasing and Logistics or Hotel Environment, Distribution, Purchasing and Receiving Transportation functions.
  • Basic Knowledge of product ID and food safety.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter who displays initiative and possesses the ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to deal with a range of employees including upper management with regards to the day-to-day operation of the commissary and special projects within the Purchasing and Logistic Department.
  • Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

  • Telehandler and Forklift operations is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily morning meetings with the Commissary team.
  • Organize the commissary on a daily basis.
  • Understand product identification and quality of ingredients to properly fulfill property orders.
  • Participate in assigned daily, weekly, and special projects.
  • Organize deliveries of product within the Commissary.
  • Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the commissary.
  • Ensure all product leaving the commissary is recorded properly.
  • Report any malfunctions to the manager/supervisor on duty immediately.
  • Close the building using the provided closing checklist.
  • Check out with the supervisor/manager before clocking out for the day.
  • Assist with ordering of product.
  • Perform data entry into procurement operational systems.
  • Check out the final PO club order with the Supervisor/Manager before sending.
  • Act as a liaison between the Purchasing & Logistics and Commissary teams.
