About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Purchasing and Sourcing, the Purchasing Analyst will support global procurement activities and optimize supply chain performance. The successful candidate will leverage purchasing expertise, advanced data analysis, and reporting capabilities to drive informed sourcing decisions, improve supplier performance, and support inventory management initiatives. This role requires strong experience in global purchasing, data analytics, and Power BI dashboard development. This posting is for an open vacancy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or sourcing analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of global purchasing and international supply chain processes.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation, DAX measures, and data modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA is an asset).
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting, supplier management, and procurement of best practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support global sourcing and procurement activities across multiple suppliers and regions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance related to quality, service and cost.
  • Support supplier selection, qualification, and evaluation processes.
  • Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, lead times, pricing, and inventory data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Develop, maintain, and automate Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to procurement and management teams.
  • Monitor and report on key procurement KPIs such as purchase price variance, supplier OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), inventory turns, spend analysis, and forecast accuracy.
  • Conduct spend analysis and support strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.
  • Manage and maintain procurement master data, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across ERP systems.
  • Identify supply chain risks and recommend mitigation strategies for global sourcing operations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc procurement reports for senior leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement projects utilizing data-driven decision-making.
