About The Position

Kenney Industries, Inc. is a growing manufacturing company specializing in CNC Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Welding, and Assembly. With over 50 CNC machines in a 55,000 sq ft facility, we deliver high-quality precision components and assemblies for a wide range of industries. We're looking for a skilled and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team and drive cost-effective sourcing, strong vendor relationships, and smooth project execution.

Requirements

Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain roles, ideally in a manufacturing or machining environment
Strong sourcing, negotiating, and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Proficiency with ERP systems or procurement software is preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience working with overseas vendors is a significant plus (import processes, international logistics, or supplier management)

Responsibilities

Source raw materials, tooling, components, and services to support CNC machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly operations
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with domestic and international suppliers to secure the best total value
Manage end-to-end procurement projects, ensuring on-time delivery, quality compliance, and optimal inventory levels
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including overseas suppliers
Track market trends, material pricing, and supply chain risks to support strategic decision-making
Collaborate closely with production, engineering, quality, and assembly teams
