About The Position

This position evaluates and processes assigned purchase requests for commodities and contractual services for the department using appropriate purchasing methods in accordance with laws, rules, policies, and procedures contained in the state of Florida’s Purchasing Policy and applicable to the department's operating procedures. The role involves working closely with program offices and county health departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met in a timely and economical manner. The position also requires performing other related duties as required.

Requirements

• General knowledge of State of Florida purchasing rules and laws
• Skill in use of personal computer
• Skill in use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques
• Ability to adapt to change and learn
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, using proper grammar and language skills
• Ability to work independently and make routing decisions with minimal direction
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to pay attention to details
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Must be willing to physically come in the office to perform the duties & responsibilities of the position.
