This position is responsible for managing food inventories, orders, and costs. The Purchaser will maintain organized records, post invoices, conduct inventory audits, and complete requisition forms. They will monitor stock levels, verify received inventory, and reconcile shipping invoices. Responsibilities also include receiving and unloading deliveries, refusing unacceptable items, and troubleshooting vendor issues. Adherence to food safety policies and monitoring PAR levels are crucial. The role also involves reporting safety incidents, completing safety training, following company policies, maintaining a professional appearance, and protecting company assets. Communication skills, both written and verbal, are important, as is the ability to work collaboratively with team members and meet quality standards. The job requires the ability to read various formats, visually inspect equipment, use computers for data entry, and perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The role may involve working in confined or elevated spaces and on uneven surfaces, as well as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
