About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance Punjabi Teacher for a client in Hayward, United States. This is a one-to-one general language training position with a total of 30 hours, consisting of two-hour sessions. The student is at an elementary level, aged 25-34, and wishes to become proficient in Punjabi for personal reasons, including travel to Punjab. The student's schedule is flexible, occurring once per week on either Friday (after 4 pm), Saturday (11 am-3 pm), or Sunday (1 pm-4 pm). The preferred start date is October 9, 2026, or as soon as possible. The schedule and location may be flexible based on the teacher's availability. This is a part-time, freelance position with a negotiable hourly rate based on experience and qualifications. Visa sponsorship is not provided.
Requirements
- Native Punjabi speaker and/or relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of Hayward, United States (94542).
- Ability to work as a freelancer with part-time hours.
- Must meet stated conditions and be able to apply only if requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one Punjabi language training to an elementary level student.
- Conduct two-hour sessions.
- Adapt to the student's schedule and location preferences, which may be flexible.
