The Punch Press Operator position is located in Dixon, IL and will set up and operate machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications. This 1st shift position is, Monday through Thursday, 4:00am to 2:00pm.
Requirements
- Education consisting of a high school diploma/GED or a minimum of one (1) year of related experience in lieu of education
- Perform a variety of tasks safely throughout the day in a fast-paced work environment
- Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees
- Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal
- Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned

Responsibilities
- Preliminarily set up and operate or tend a variety of machines such as punch presses and special purpose equipment to form metal according to drawing requirements
- Interpret drawing and blueprint requirements
- Use hand tools to work with material
- Count product
- Resolve routine questions and problems and refer more complex issues to a higher level for resolution
- Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
- Uses all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required
