About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a Pumping Technician in La Porte, Texas. The technician completes assigned warehouse duties safely and responsibly, working with the pumping team to pump drums. The work includes chemical quality control, forklift operation, manual labor, and inventory duties. The position uses Level C personal protective equipment (PPE). The scheduled shift is 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime and Saturdays as needed. Pay is $21, depending on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of related labor and computer experience.
Ability to drive trucks within the facility.
Experience and familiarity with Excel, Word, and similar programs.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in Level C PPE.
Experience working with chemical profiles.
Forklift skills, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Load and unload route trucks.
Wear Level C PPE.
Perform manual drum-washing labor.
Pump drums.
Use chemical profiles to identify matches to tankers.
Operate forklifts routinely to sort pallets and unload materials.
Use camlocks and hardlines to connect and disconnect tankers.
Manage inventory ordering and receiving.
Maintain general housekeeping and a clean work area.
Ensure waste is stored safely and properly.
Resolve material issues in conjunction with office team staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
