About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a Pumping Technician in La Porte, Texas. The role completes assigned warehouse duties safely and responsibly, working with the pumping team to pump drums. Duties also include chemical quality control, forklift operation, manual labor, and inventory management. The technician wears Level C personal protective equipment (PPE). The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime and Saturdays as needed. Pay is $21, dependent on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Level C PPE preferred.
Experience working with chemical profiles preferred.
Familiarity with Excel, Word, and similar software.
At least 2 years of related labor and computer experience.
Ability to drive trucks within the facility.
Forklift skills preferred, or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Comply with health and safety practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Load and unload route trucks.
Wear Level C PPE.
Perform manual drum-washing labor.
Pump drums.
Use chemical profiles to identify matches to tankers.
Operate forklifts to sort pallets and unload materials.
Connect and disconnect tankers using camlocks and hardlines.
Manage inventory ordering and receiving.
Maintain general housekeeping and a clean work area.
Ensure waste is stored safely and properly.
Resolve material issues with office team staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
