About The Position

The Pump & Valve Repair Technician is responsible for the assembly of pumps, valves, and TrueClean� process equipment. They will provide this support to internal and external customers of CSI. The position requires attention to detail, strong ability to manage oneself, and flexibility to complete all associated tasks. CSI provides state-of-the-art stainless-steel process equipment and service for manufacturers in the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries. Requirements

  • Class C drivers� license, required.
  • High school diploma, required.
  • Proven track record of mechanical and electric problem solving.
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance or production experience in food manufacturing plant, desired.
  • Awareness of food safety and continuous improvement (Six Sigma), preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use and maintenance of all work instructions for assembly of various pumps and valves here at CSI
  • Internal and external vendor training to continuously grow ability
  • Optimize the processes for CSI to maintain differentiation versus direct and indirect competition
  • Pump, Valve, and TrueClean� Assembly
  • Provide technical assistance to co-workers, prospects, and customers
  • Escalate issues to Managers as needed
  • Perform reliable assembly of pumps, valves, and TrueClean� equipment at CSI facilities
  • Perform pump, valve, and TrueClean� breakdown activities
  • Includes put away and bin management tasks
  • Assist in the repair of pumps, valves, and TrueClean� equipment at customer facilities
  • May include afterhours �emergency� calls to CSI shop or customer�s site
  • Assist with fabrication and assembly of pump carts as needed
  • Manage internal and external customer expectations and relationships
  • Assist with in-house or on-site customer training
  • Remain in compliance with good manufacturing processes (GMP) and safety regulations
  • Complete technical self-study programs for career development
  • Performs other duties as assigned by CSI Supervisor or Manager
