About The Position

This is an entry-level position in a busy pump shop, seeking candidates who are recent graduates or looking for a career change that allows them to work with their hands. No previous pump shop experience is required, as training will be provided to candidates with mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. The role involves supporting pump shop technicians with the assembly, testing, and inspection of progressing cavity pumps (PC pumps) and associated products. Responsibilities

  • Safely disassemble, inspect, assemble, and prepare Progressive Cavity pumps and related components for testing and delivery
  • Conduct functional, pressure, and performance testing using calibrated test equipment; accurately record and document results
  • Interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications to ensure correct assembly and configuration
  • Identify wear, damage, or non‑conforming components and recommend repair or replacement actions
  • Maintain strict attention to detail to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with customer and company standards
  • Handle pumps and components carefully to prevent damage and preserve product integrity
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on shop tools, test equipment, and fixtures
  • Complete all required documentation, test records, and quality checklists accurately and on time
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S and shop standards
  • Actively participate in daily safety meetings, job safety analyses (JSAs), hazard assessments, and safety initiatives
  • Follow all company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to safety, quality, and environmental practices
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and workflow
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations
