Requirements

  • Comfort using hand and power tools.
  • 1-2 years of basic construction labor experience
  • Valid ID and driver's license free of major accidents and DUIs
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and have a positive attitude.
  • Must possess basic work tools and work well with others (specialty tools provided by J&A)
  • Quickly trained for forklift license, and boom lift/scissor lift certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication sheets.
  • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and travel to work sites out of the area as needed.
  • A job for which military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED or college diploma.
  • An excellent job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial Storefront and Glass Cutting experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the fabrication of storefront, curtain wall, and doors.
  • Cut and fabricate glass and mirrors.
  • Clean and prepare shop areas and job sites as needed or instructed.
  • Load, offload, and deliver materials to work sites.
  • Follow instructions from the Shop Lead and Foreman.
  • Assist with brake metal fabrication.
  • Identify and report issues with work material.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
